ProteinIQ plans are built to scale with your research needs. They all include the core platform, then add more credits, higher limits, licensing rights, and workspace controls as you move up.
Free is for trying ProteinIQ and running occasional lightweight jobs. Lite is for regular individual academic work. Plus is for higher-volume academic workflows. Pro is for commercial work and larger self-serve compute needs. Enterprise is for organizations that need shared seats, shared credits, procurement, custom workflows, integrations, or security review.
Free, Lite, and Plus include the Academic license. Pro and Enterprise include the Commercial license. See Pricing and billing for the full plan details.
ProteinIQ has a Free plan you can start with, and it does not require a credit card. There is no time-limited Pro trial right now.
Use the Free plan to explore the interface, run free utilities, and try a limited amount of paid compute with your included promotional credits. Upgrade when you need higher limits, more credits, API access, or commercial license rights.
Yes. The Free plan includes 100 promotional credits, core tool access, and an Academic license for light use.
Free workspaces have usage limits, including a daily submission limit. Paid plans remove the free daily job cap and add larger credit allowances for heavier analysis, prediction, design, and workflow runs.
Credits are your workspace compute balance. Paid jobs require enough credits before they start, and every tool shows the credit cost before you submit.
Free tools cost 0 credits. Compute-heavy jobs like docking, folding, design, and simulations use more credits, and some costs scale with input size or settings. If a paid job ends in Failed or Timeout, the charged credits are refunded automatically.
Credits belong to the workspace, not to one personal account. For the full breakdown, see Credits.
Yes. Lite, Plus, and Pro have a lower monthly-equivalent price when billed annually, which is roughly 20% less than monthly billing.
Annual plans are billed up front and grant the annualized credit allowance at the start of the yearly term.
Self-serve paid plans use Stripe Checkout Elements inside ProteinIQ. Change plans from Settings > Plan, and manage cards, invoices, and cancellation from Settings > Billing.
Enterprise can support invoice billing, purchase orders, and vendor setup. Contact sales if your organization needs procurement support or custom billing terms.
Yes, invoice billing is available for Enterprise customers and organizations that need procurement support.
Enterprise can also cover purchase orders, vendor setup, shared workspace seats, shared credits, and custom commercial agreements. Contact us to discuss the billing setup your organization needs.
No. ProteinIQ runs in the browser, so you can submit jobs, inspect results, and download outputs without setting up local bioinformatics environments.
You can still download result files for local analysis, figures, notebooks, publications, or downstream tools when you need them.
Academic use is built into the Free, Lite, and Plus plans. Those plans include Academic license rights and are priced for students, labs, and research groups.
We do not publish a separate startup program today. Early-stage companies that need commercial license rights, invoice billing, or custom terms should use Pro or contact us about Enterprise.
Yes. Lite, Plus, and Pro can be billed monthly or annually. Monthly billing charges each month and grants that month's credits for the active billing period.
Annual billing charges the year up front at the discounted rate and grants the annualized credit allowance at the start of the yearly term. Enterprise billing is handled through the sales process.
Yes. API access is included on paid plans, so you can submit jobs and connect ProteinIQ to scripts, notebooks, and internal workflows.
See the API documentation for authentication, job submission, status polling, and result download details.
Upgrades take effect immediately. If you move to a higher plan or a higher billing interval, the prorated difference is settled right away and prorated additional credits are granted for the rest of the current term.
Downgrades and cancellations are scheduled for the end of the current billing period. Your current plan stays active until then. See Cancellation and renewals and Billing and invoices.
Refunds are only available before any paid credits have been used.
First-time subscribers with zero credit usage may request a refund within 7 days by emailing support@proteiniq.io. Once credits have been consumed, sales are final. See our Terms of Service.
