Update, July 19, 2026: Lite is now a legacy plan and is no longer available to new subscribers. Existing Lite subscribers keep their price, credits, and features while their subscription remains active. If they cancel or upgrade, Lite cannot be purchased again. Plus is now the first paid plan available to new subscribers.
On April 22, 2026, we changed ProteinIQ pricing to make the paid plan ladder cheaper and easier to understand. At launch, the public lineup was Free, Lite, Plus, Pro, and Enterprise.
The biggest change is Lite, a new entry paid plan at $9/month or $7/month billed annually. Lite includes 500 credits per month, removes the Free plan's 3-jobs-per-day limit, and unlocks advanced settings, the AI assistant, SVG export, batch runs, and workflows.
We also renamed Starter to Plus and Researcher to Pro. Plus is now the main paid academic plan for heavier usage: $29/month or $23/month billed annually, with 2,000 credits per month and 5 concurrent jobs. Pro is now the self-serve commercial plan: $99/month or $79/month billed annually, with 8,000 credits per month, 10 concurrent jobs, and a commercial license.
That means commercial ProteinIQ access is now much less expensive for individual users. We have also sunsetted the old commercial Individual and Teams plans, along with the academic Lab plan, from the public pricing page. Plus and Pro now support individual and team workspaces with up to 10 self-serve seats; Enterprise covers larger or custom seat and credit allocations, procurement, integrations, and security requirements.
The licensing boundary is now explicit: Free, Lite, and Plus are Academic plans. Commercial use starts at Pro or Enterprise.
Annual plans still include a 20% discount and grant the full annual credit allocation up front. Annual Plus includes 24,000 credits for the year. Annual Pro includes 96,000 credits for the year.
